Another congratulations card. Pretty simple - rick-rack and a few buttons added to adorable patterned paper.

Paint Chips Butterfly Card

I've been seeing a lot of cards using free paint chips you get at the hardware store. Here's my attempt - an ombre butterfly card. I love how it turned out.

Handmade Cards

I found this great die cut of a dress form at the local Paper Depot. They have several you can use in the store. I cut out quite a few and finally got to use them! You gotta love a stamp with a good pun.

This sweet birthday card has a soft suede-like ribbon on it. It adds a nice texture, and don't worry, no animals were harmed in the making of this card.

Tanks Card

My lovely and talented friend, Sue, sent me this fabulous card.
She's so creative and sweet! Not to mention, generous - she recently sent a big box of her handmade cards to Operation Write Home. I just love the pink camo ribbon on this one.
"Tanks" to you too, Sue - for all that you do.

Wine Bottle Sweaters

Three bottles of wine for a hostess gift for my boss. You can never have enough libations for an office holiday party. However, these wines needed a little dressing up...
Oooooh, maybe a cozy winter sweater!

I found two old sweaters in a bag that hadn't yet made it from the garage to the Goodwill.

Maybe a scarf to complete the ensemble. I found the perfect ribbon in my stash!

There, that's so much better!

Thanks to the Homeless Finch (Day #5 of 25 Days of Christmas) for the inspiration!!!

The Resolution

File:New Jameson Bottle.JPG

So, a couple weeks ago, I was saddled up to a small town bar with my younger brother. Both the company and the setting were pleasant rarities. We each enjoyed a couple Jamesons and, somehow, at the end of it, we resolved to start our own blogs this year. I don't know if technically it counts as a "resolution" since I equate that with mostly tortuous activities such as exercising or eating healthy. Nevertheless, here I am, jumping on the blogger bandwagon.

I have been thinking about starting a blog for a while now and have also been encouraged by my lovely sister-in-law to start one. Apparently, I just needed a little push (and a little alcohol) to get it going. Besides, it will be nice to have a place to share all the fun, crafty stuff I like to do. Hopefully someone will be inspired by it!
